In what has been an up and down season, Carbury FC confirmed a third place finish in the Sligo Southern Hotel Super League when the season came to an end.
After a 13-0 win over Gurteen Celtic last Sunday, Cian Kilcoyne’s six goals ensured he finished as top goalscorer for the season in the league.
Our final game of the season was due to take place on Wednesday, April 30 but the sides agreed on a draw with Carbury finishing third.
In a tough season, Carbury claimed the Frank Kennedy Memorial Cup in April, and finished the season strongly after a tricky period in March.
All at Carbury FC would like to extend their congratulations to our friends at Cartron who were crowned league champions this season, and deservedly so after a superb campaign.
Cartron have pushed Carbury all the way in recent years, and this year proved to be their year.
Carbury FC would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Damien Dunleavy and Noel Conlon who depart the club after two seasons at the helm.
The pair guided Carbury to a league title in 2023/24, and the cup in 2024/25.
Thanks to Damien and Noel for their endless hours of commitment and hard work, and for giving us all some great days out.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to all our players for their hard work throughout the season, to our sponsors, without whom none of this would be possible, and to our committee and fans.
Work is already underway to plan for next season, keep an eye out for news.
